Woodford Festival and Auslan interpreting
Added Mon - 7/11/11
Woodford Folk Festival is powering again this year on 27 Dec to 2 Jan. This international Arts festival is set in Woodfordia, a little valley in the hills behind the township of Woodford, 1 hr NW of Brisbane.
Since the year 2000 the Educational and Performance group Dancing Hands.. now with a new name, Auslan Eternity, have provided workshops to educate the festival goers about Deaf culture and Auslan. This group has also provided Woodford Festival with a pool of interpreters to provide interpreting services at various events throughout the week long festival.
Auslan Eternity encourage interpreters and the Deaf community to have a look at the website www.woodfordfolkfestival.com and come along to the festival for a day or two or seven!! Camping and wandering around the lantern-lit, colourful world of Woodfordia can bring your spirit in align with the positive energy and creativity of this magic place and you will never be the same again.. you will be transformed and love it !!!
Any enquiries regarding the interpreting at the festival and/or the Auslan Eternity workshops can be sent to: email@example.com
